Rookery

Rookery is one of my favorites mainly because of the vaporware aesthetic that vapor provides. In January, I got a secondhand M1 MacBook Pro. I started messing around with Swift and decided I wanted some sort of code snippet manager finally.

The ones made for macOS all had in app purchases to be fully functional. Pass. I don’t need all that. Let’s just find something fun and make it. I guess that’s where Freeze comes into play.

I thought this seemed like a cool little project just on its own, so I wanted to use it, but it would be tedious without a helper or your own code snippets somewhere to pipe to.

I developed it on the MacBook, but it runs in a Docker container on a ThinkPad T440p running Alma Linux.

This is most definitely a work in progress. It functions, but it’s not as complete as I would like. Enjoy!
